MORE Seeks Administrative Coordinator
MORE is seeking candidates for a part-time, salaried, exempt position as Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The Admin Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to provide support for MORE volunteers, events, and administrative tasks. The Admin Coordinator is expected to work an average of 20 hours a week, with a semi-flexible schedule and variation in hours from week to week.
About MORE
The Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with the mission of “Riding Bikes and Building Trails” in the greater Washington DC region. MORE maintains 908 miles of natural surface trails in 63 parks with the help of over 100 trail liaisons. MORE has one staff member and a working volunteer board of 8 members responsible for membership, activities, advocacy, trail work, communications, development, and treasury functions. The Administrative Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director and assist the ED and Board of Directors with admin tasks to increase the capacity of MORE to further its mission.
Responsibilities
Administrative duties
- Organize and update organizational digital files.
- Help maintain the MORE website by making regular updates to trail pages and publishing announcements.
- Assist the Executive Director with membership and donor management.
- Assist the Executive Director and Advocacy Directors with grant requirements.
- Assist the Treasurer with club financials.
Volunteer support duties
- Assist Trail Liaisons, Advocacy Directors, and Ride Program Director in logging volunteer hours and identifying trends.
- Produce and disseminate trail education and advocacy materials.
- Communicate with volunteers through email.
Event duties
- Apply for necessary permits for MORE’s events and activities.
- Set up registration for events on BikeReg and/or the MORE website.
- Represent MORE at pop-up and partner events as needed.
- Produce and disseminate event marketing materials.
Requirements
- Interest in outdoor recreation
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with volunteers and/or in team settings
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experience in or willingness to learn basic graphic design software
- Experience in or willingness to learn various donor, volunteer, member, and website software such as DonorPerfect, CiviCRM, Constant Contact, Golden Volunteer, BikeReg, and Shopify
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Position is fully remote but may require occasional physical attendance at events and meetings
Salary and benefits
- $35,000-40,000 per year
- Sick and safe leave in accordance with DC/MD/VA state law
